Halloween is tomorrow

Hey friends,

Man has it been awhile, but i swear it feels like a second ago since I last logged on here. This was Halloween weekend here in Portland and Saturday was the day of all the parties.  I worked Happy Hour at Holman's which was a pretty good shift with a good amount of ninja costumes to be seen.  Then I changed and ran off to a Halloween party at NWIPA

that had a Misfits cover band which was awesome.  There was a multitude of KISS members there because the night closed with a KISS cover band, which I missed to go to another party at my friend Sam's.  There it was dance party central, but I didn't stay too late because I had to work at 7:30am the next morning.

So yea, I'm back behind a bar after a year and a half, but I'm making great money and my car is going to get paid off in no time!  I knew if I landed this job my summer would be over in a heartbeat but it has still been a great one with a ton of concerts.

and a ton of local shows.  I haven't hiked as much as i did last summer, but I've spent many nice afternoons at Riverside,

a sunny spot on the Clackamas River.

Labor Day weekend my friend Alyssa came out from Boston to road trip to Yosemite with me.  

We spent a week traveling south and around a bunch of wildfires that exploded around Oregon.  Some of my most favorite hiking spots were set aflame by a 15 year old from Canada who decided to light fireworks in the middle of a Forest in the driest time of the year!  It's an awful shame but I brought Alyssa to see my favorite falls before out trip.

As for boys, I broke up with Kellen a week after Yosemite.  It was right after news I got that Michael wasn't doing very well and it made me think about what I wanted and the places I want to go.  He's still involved in my life because there are a lot of feelings there, but I don't think I have what it takes to make a relationship work right now.  Doug has been after me since I've broken it off with Kellen, but I don't think I want him either.  I need some time to do my own thing.

So tomorrow is Halloween, I have to work till 8, then I think I'm going to go out and just play some pool, nice and low key.  But let me upload some pictures, because lets face it, they tell the story of the places I've been!
