Hightailed over to Montauk

Montauk is the southern fork of Long Island that features the best surf with less people around than most other towns. Maybe I'm impartial to the south shore, since it is where I grew up, but it has magnificent beaches and scenery to boot.
Mary and I checked into our hotel first as the sun was going down. Our hotel manager Leroy told us, "We missed it!" When I asked him where to catch the best sunset. In fact, we caught the sun by all of three minutes.
Our hotel had a great little patio that we stayed on until our toes were frozen solid.
We ended up yapping all night about our life and love and how the hell are we in our mid 30's already!

The next day we set off for the lighthouse.
This is a place I have been to maybe 3 times before. But every angle of it is spectacular!
And there are trails every which way to hike all around.
The southern side of the lighthouse kind of reminded me of the Cliffs of Mohor
Steep edges that went on for miles.

We went home slowly making sure to stop at every overlook we could find.

We went through the small beach community's

And even checked out the deserted mansions in the Hamptons.

Needless to say, we found a great spot to watch the sun go down.
I love this place and my lovely girlfriend Mary ❤️💖❤️
