I've been not really wanting to go back behind the bar so I have been applying to bunches of wine and beer and spirit distribution jobs. I would totally go to the right and of bar, but some that I go into just kind of make my stomach turn. I really want to do something different and gosh darnit - That is what I WILL DO!
This past weekend I spent a bunch of time outdoors and a bunch of time with Alex. It's safe to say that he and my roommate Britney are my new best friends out here. The dog and cat are starting to bond a little more too.
I went for a street run the other day and am shocked to report that I ran for 6.94 miles!!! Not including the stairs up and down to my apartment, so we can just call it seven! After the first mile I thought I wasn't going to last but I somehow kept going and did a decent run. The next day the sun was shining amazingly so I dropped off Britney after we secured our new apartment. Thats right, I am locked into Portland for a solid year more starting Feb. 15th! So we celebrated with dairy queen deliciousness and then she had to work and I HAD to check out Forest Park w Tommy. I took the long trail that had a great view of Mt Hood today because it was really clear. It was really muddy to but a delight none the less.
My legs are super sore today though. Working out inside my house it will be!
Hoping to head to wine country tomorrow with a friend of a friend from my hometown in East Islip, Kristine. Thats means I should probably go get that oil change I need. It's supposed to get up to 59 degrees tomorrow so bring it on January!!!
