So we had our second to last long ass leg of the journey today. Waking up at 6am to ready ourselves for some LA - NYE happenings. Roni is driving as we make our first stop at Starbucks for good coffee and microwaved egg sandwiches. Then we're off. Forgot to refuel before leaving AZ and the first CA gas station is at $3.79/gallon. I say fuck that lets wait til we're dwindled down to fumes. Lo and behold the next stop is one gas station in the middle of no where and $4.99/gallon. But it was an amusing lil palm tree tacky decorated place like I've never seen before.

We stopped for a little Pho lunch next to that there ahead mountain. And it was tasty!
The sun going down was a little emotional for me because I knew the next one would be on the west coast where the rest for awhile would be too.
Still, it's gorgeous and also emotionally soothing at the same time.
Life is good after all, and I just remind myself to live life minute by minute. No need to think about future stuff you can't control.
I call Courtney when we are about an hour and a half away from her because we are starving. She says she has a crazy amount of appetizers and wine so we take the bait and hightail there as fast as we can.
She wasn't kidding! As we unload our belongings she starts pulling out tray after tray of salmon dip, Brie cheese, fried macoroni and cheese balls, arancini and mini chicken pot pies to name a few! And wine!
Her good friend Lisa was there too who I met when I drive across country to move Courtney to the west coast almost 10 years ago. Reunion!!!
Love this girl!
Tommy liked her dog Stewie too
Some clips of us ringing in the new year

We made it to two bars and passed out nicely. Still I'm a little freaked out this, no my life is now on the west coast.
