Life is grand

I know I know...

I haven't posted picture of Hawaii on here.  I will....

Life has been busy and wondrous.  Alex moved out to Sauvie Island which is a small farm island say 25 minutes from the city.  There's a swamp in the back that blue herons and egrets flock to in the morning time and it is lovely.  There is also a stretch of real nice beaches there.  Not ocean style beach but the Columbia Gorge feeding into other channels.  Needless to say I've been exploring the island.  Still heading to the gorge and the desert.  My life has just been blissfully full.

Oh and I had my first white water rafting adventure!!!  I ran the White Salmon River in Washington twice!  It was non stop moving water which was really nice and some good hits.  I wore a wetsuit and booties which kept me at the perfect temperature.  We had such a nice day though we kept getting warm breezes around every corner.

This is Near Hilo.  It is where the sea turtles enter the ocean and spear fishermen are posted non stop.

This is where we camped out after a 6.6 mile lava rock hike.  We were literally saved by coconut water here, because we drank so much water in the hot sun.

This is the view from a spot near Mauna Kea.  We are above the clouds and thought the sunset twice before it actually did!

This one is Laupahoehoe which is the Northern Hawaii tip that was struck by a tsunami wave in 1946.  The waves were huge and the landscape was breathtaking.

This is one place that we camped

This is Rainbow Falls
